About
Marcus Kirsch is international artist and computer related designer, based in London, UK.
Born in Saarbruecken, Germany. Lived in Trier, Hamburg, Rotterdam and London. He looks back at more than 10 years working as freelance artist, designer, consultant and developer for brands like BMW, Hugo Boss, Lufthansa, Mitsubishi, Red Bull, etc. as well as full-time developer and project manager for Medialab Europe, Natural History Museum and Science Museum London.
As a creative innovator his projects include products for a variety of platforms. Web, desktop, mobile and exhibition installations including the use of sensors, bluetooth, RFID, camera and sound reactive environments, have been produced for small to large companies, single user to 5-digit audiences.
“The technology must never dictate the message, but enable it.” In this sense, he introduced user-participation on a google map project to the Natural History Museum, co-produced Vestigii, a fashion label that created a news based creative interaction chain from point-of-sale over web and back into physical space and made pigeons send you aerial photos to your mobile phone.
He is the founder of ResonanceDesign, a creative research and new media network of expertise and venture based in London and works as a full-time for Science Museum London’s New Media team, Studio66.
